Busy times for FPS over the last few months

•Lorraine Mondial Air Ballons

As part of LORRAINE MONDIAL AIR BALLONS – the biggest international hot-air balloon rally – FPS had the privilege of studying, designing and creating an LPG storage and distribution station which is unique in the world.

This refuelling station for hot-air balloons is made up of:

  • 4 modules with 36 auxiliary tanks
  • 1 module with 6 auxiliary tanks with jib attachment and hose balancer for filling the large balloons in order to reduce bottle handling for a total of 150 filling points
  • 1 special 30m3 tank in accordance with FPS recommendations
  • 2 x 12m3 5101 SIHI-type over-pressure units
  • 1 x 4m3 3106 SIHI-type over-pressure unit

FPS is proud of the role it played in this huge challenge and in helping more than 1,100 balloons and 3,000 pilots to provide a superb show and beat all records thanks to refilling conditions never seen before...

• Fluides Pétrole Services is expanding in order to serve you better

A few weeks ago we announced through this Internet page the construction of a new building adjoining our current building. It is now up and running!

We now have 1,100 m² of surface area dedicated in particular to preparing and manufacturing our products - FPLEC vaporisers, FP2 distributors and storage safety solenoid valve kits.

We would like to remind you that we have an even greater range of spare parts for LPG products in order to meet all your LPG needs.

You can view a non-exhaustive list of these spare parts or of accessories for the new European connector technology in the "Gas and LPG equipment" page on this website.

• Joint Mase - UIC system (Manual of Improvement for Company Safety)

As of 2 September we migrated towards the common Mase - UIC system reference framework and are now one of the companies that are part of this certification.
This confirms our desire to make advances in terms of safety and in particular highlights our aim of belonging to the circle of companies acknowledged as being the best performers.

In particular this approach involves annual objectives such as:
- Zero accidents and zero damage;
- Frequency and severity rates at zero or almost zero;
- Management commitment;
- Owning equipment that is suitable for our line of business so as to be able to work in total safety;
- The implementation of an action and training plan;
- Monitoring and assessment of our results… 

 
 
• Approval for refrigerants

We are now in possession of the certificate for "testing leak, maintenance, servicing, commissioning and fluid recovery for the equipment, of all refrigeration air-conditioning and heat pump equipment" in application of article R.543-106 of the French Environmental Code.
