documentation

Directive 97/23/EC of 29/05/97 : directive concerning pressure equipment
Order 1414 amended by the order of 02/10/01 : inflammable liquefied gas filling or distribution facility
NF EN 60204-1 for the offset electrical cabinet (Distributor FP2)
Directive 89/336/EEC amended by 93/68/EEC: electromagnetic compatability
Directive 73/23/EEC amended by 93/68/EEC relating to low voltage
The pump has a special feature on its side; a fully stainless steel nozzle holder with rounded edges is built into the pump to protect the nozzle from outside attacks.
A reel built into the top section holds the hose away from any contact with the ground. The hose also has an anti-return system in the event of an incident. This is connected to the hose via a fairlead with a detachable connector fixed to the cable.

4. Lower check valves ST6Ri ( top of page )

Isolation valve for REGO valve in ¼" only.
Material : Stainless steel
Thread : ¼ " NPT
Height : 48 mm
Temperature : - 20° to + 40° C
Working pressure : 25 bar
Liquid flow rate : 0,5 litre / second

Description

The lower check valves are manufactured under the technology used for 1¼" to 2" tank check valves (currently fitted to tank valves).

Applications
The piping or pump safety valves can be exchanged without degassing the network as it will be kept leaktight by the lower isolation check valve installed between the half sleeve and the safety valve. The entire assembly is in stainless steel with an NPT connector.

Purpose
It is essential to assemble the ST6Ri lower check valves with the ¼" REGO valves.
An O-ring is used to seal the valve. Sealing joint must not be applied on the valve thread under any circumstances when fitting it to the isolation valve.

5. The storage safety solenoid valve kits according to Decree 1412 ( top of page )

We offer a complete kit of positive safety solenoid valves to provide genuine safety in storage isolation (pipes pulling out, pump, etc.) and make assembly and maintenance easier.

Special feature of the FPS/BEV50 kit

Working pressure 16 bar, test pressure 25 bar
Supply of complete kit (solenoid valves + DN50 flanges type BF48 low temperature)
Pre-wired solenoid valve coil with 3 m of cable 3G0, 75
The specific FPS DN50 flanges will be validated by the inspection body APAVE (with verification report under the CODAP computer code)
Reduced size
Tested by an independent body
Traceability of solenoid valves and assembly
Manual control possible
Electric control when you so request (24 and 220 V)
Assembly painted red for the liquid solenoid valve
Isolation of liquid supply leaving the storage facility
Specifications for the DN50 solenoid valve produced in partnership with Parker/Lucifer

Manual control for the FPS/BEV50 kit
The solenoid valves that we distribute for the LPG.C applications are normally closed, in other words the solenoid valve does not let the fluid through without a power supply.

Our technology enables our solenoid valves to be used for safety applications; there is a circular magnet which can operate the solenoid valve WITHOUT VOLTS.

As there is no forcing of the solenoid valve, this prevents non-authorised persons from operating it and causing an accident.

6. BRW 11 ( top of page )

LPG detachable connector:

Staubli detachable connector to protect LPG pumps, connector BRW2, BRW11.
Equipment compliant with Directive 97/23/EC.

7. Heating hood for underground storage ( top of page )

Anti-freeze system for LPG underground storage hoods :

LPG is also used as a high-performing, economical energy in all industries.

The tanks are installed underground and are fitted with an access chimney on the upper generator to provide access to their equipment, especially during filling.

All the equipment required for standard tank operation is installed in this chimney - stop cocks, gauge, safety valve, etc.

The chimney is covered by a hood which serves as an access hatch for the personnel. This access hatch is the only visible part of the tank.

As the LPG storage tank is outside, its access chimney is subject to weather hazards such as water infiltration and frost which can make it difficult, if not impossible, for the operator to manoeuvre accessories during filling and tank maintenance.

The system shown is designed to keep the temperature underneath the access hatch above freezing in winter. The aim is not to dry the chimney out inside but to prevent infiltrations from freezing and let them drain away into the ground.

According to the statements from various operators, the access chimneys to the LPG storage tanks are classified in ATEX zone, zone 1 or 2. This classification is generated by the possible presence of LPG vapours in normal operation or in an accident following the manoeuvring or operation of tank filling or safety equipment.

10. Filling limiter with power-operated valve and remote level control ( top of page )

1 - Purpose

This document describes the operating principle for the fill limiter to be fitted to a tank following the decree of 23rd August 2005 concerning the general recommendations applying to environmental protection classified facilities subject to the declaration under classified facilities heading 1412.

The device presented is designed to limit the level to which the tank can be filled. This value is defined by the user and validated by the classified facilities inspector.
The aim is to limit the actual volume in the tank already present on site.

This document describes the risks related to use of the fill limiter in risk-prone areas, the precautions taken during design and manufacture of the equipment and the precautions to be taken by the user.

2 - Marking

The fill limiter is not fitted with a general manufacturer plate. Individual manufacturer plates are present for parts which are subject to a European directive only.

The elements listed below have their own marking:
• Resistance transmitter (marking in compliance with directive 94/9/EC)
• Junction box (marking in compliance with directive 94/9/EC)
• Electric actuator (marking in compliance with directive 94/9/EC)
• Cable gland (marking in compliance with directive 94/9/EC)
• ¼ turn flanged valve DN50 PN50 (marking in compliance with directive 94/9/EC and directive 97/23/EC)
• Flashing light (option: marking in compliance with directive 94/9/EC)

The fill limiter can be installed in an ATEX zone with possibility of explosive atmosphere under normal operating conditions:
Device group: II
Category: 2
Zones: 1,2
Gas: Group 1

3 - Fill limiter device
It is supplied in the form of a pre-assembled unit, ready to be mounted, including the following elements:
• A resistance transmitter to continuously relay the level of the tank measured by the magnetic gauge
• A power-operated DN50 PN50 valve (fire safe type) implemented with the existing fill valve
• A control box with UPS power supply and CSUM receiver
• A NAPAC fault report and level transmission contact unit, on option
• Audio and flashing light level display
